Aspiga was founded in 2006 when the creative designer, Lucy Macnamara, fell in love with the hand beaded accessories made in Kenya. Individual artisans are in charge of the production of the items.  No large factories are involved, thus providing employment and revenue to the local communities. Aspiga's motto is to provide fabulous accessories, while helping to fight poverty through trade. Artisans use traditional beading techniques to create each clutch. So no two Aspiga products are ever exactly the same. The hand beading work is real art and is not easy. It is very intricate, time consuming and hard to pick up. In fact, extensive training is needed to pick up the skill.

Keep the traditions alive, together.
